Who we are

GLOBLVIEW ("we", "us") operates the website at globlview.com, a portfolio-tracking and market-information tool run by Mateo Murr. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it.

Information we collect

Account: your email address, used to create your account and send one-time sign-in codes. Sign-in is passwordless, either by emailed code or through your Google account. We do not store passwords. If you sign in with Google, Google tells us your email address and basic profile, and nothing else.

Your data: the portfolio positions, watchlist symbols, alerts, tracker preferences, and settings you enter. We store these so we can show them back to you on any device.

Usage: basic technical logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, response codes) that our hosting provider generates automatically when you use the site.

Messages: if you email us, we keep the message and your address so we can reply.

Guest mode and what stays in your browser

You can use the app without an account. In guest mode your portfolio, watchlist, alerts and settings are saved only in your browser's local storage and are never sent to us. The keys we use are:

• gv_guest: marks that you chose guest mode.
• gv_local_v1: your guest portfolio, watchlist, alerts, trackers and settings.
• gv_guest_seen: remembers that you have seen the guest explainer.
• gv_currency: your chosen display currency.
• gv_theme: light or dark theme.
• gv_order_*: the sort order you chose for each list.

These are not cookies and are not used for tracking. Clearing your browser data removes them. If you later create an account, the app offers to import your guest data, and only then is it sent to our servers.

How we use it

To provide the service (display your portfolio, fetch relevant market data and news, send alerts and briefs you ask for), to keep the service secure, and to understand aggregate usage so we can improve it. We do not sell your data.

If you are in the EEA or the UK, our legal bases are performance of the service you asked for (account, portfolio, alerts), our legitimate interests in security and in measuring aggregate usage, and your consent where the law requires it, for example for advertising cookies.

Service providers

We rely on third parties who process data on our behalf. Each handles only what it needs to do its job.

• Supabase: authentication and database.
• Google: an optional sign-in provider, and the advertising partner described below.
• Vercel: hosting, server logs, and Vercel Web Analytics. Web Analytics is cookieless: it counts page views and referrers in aggregate and does not set cookies or build a profile of you across sites.
• Resend: delivery of sign-in codes, alerts and morning briefs.
• ImprovMX: forwards mail sent to our addresses (privacy@, hello@, support@, security@) to the person who runs the site, so it sees the messages you send us.
• Finnhub and Yahoo Finance: market data. Requests go from our servers, not your browser, and contain the ticker symbols involved, not your identity.

The code base includes an optional AI summary endpoint. It is switched off and is not currently used by the product, so no portfolio data is sent to an AI provider. If that changes, we will update this policy first.

Cookies and advertising

We use cookies that are necessary to keep you signed in. GLOBLVIEW is free and is intended to be supported by advertising. Ads may appear on the guides and on stock pages, and never inside the app screens or on About, Contact, Privacy, or Terms.

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.

Users may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info. More detail on how Google uses data when you use partner sites is available at policies.google.com/technologies/ads.

You can control cookies generally through your browser settings. Blocking advertising cookies does not prevent you from using the site.

Consent in the EEA, UK and Switzerland

If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you are asked for consent through Google's consent banner before any advertising cookies are set. The banner appears on guide and stock pages, which are the only pages that carry ads. You can accept, decline, or choose by purpose and vendor.

You can change your choice at any time. Every page footer has a Privacy settings link that reopens the banner. Until ads are switched on for this site, there is nothing to consent to and the link simply brings you here.

International transfers

The site and its providers are hosted mainly in the United States, so your data is processed there and possibly in other countries where those providers operate. Where the law requires it, transfers rely on the providers' standard contractual clauses or another approved mechanism.

Data retention and deletion

We keep your account data while your account is active. You can ask us to delete your account and everything attached to it at any time by emailing privacy@globlview.com from the address you signed up with. Server logs kept by our hosting provider are retained for a short period set by the provider, measured in days and not months. Email we receive is kept as long as needed to deal with the request.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, to withdraw consent, and to complain to your local data protection authority.

California residents: you have the right to know what personal information we hold, to ask us to delete or correct it, and not to be treated differently for using these rights. We do not sell personal information. To use any of these rights, email privacy@globlview.com. We will reply within the time the law allows.

Children

GLOBLVIEW is not directed to children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data. The terms of service set a minimum age of 18 for using the service.

Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by the date above.
